Just Ducky

Bob and I hiked at Reservoir 6 in Avon off RT 44 last Sunday. We spotted a Mama duck and her eight ducklings stranded on a spillway and the Mama was not sure how to get her babies to a safe place. She ended up calling to four mallards who were on a nearby bank, but when they arrived they only made Mama more frantic. She was bullied and chased out of the water while her babies stood, frightened, waiting for her to come back. Well, Mama made a great decision and her babies were happy to be reunited with her.
